New Terminal Building, Agra Airport
Bullnose cornices, column cladding and jalis for the new terminal building at Agra.

Overview
The new Agra terminal takes its cues from the city’s red sandstone architecture: bullnose cornice bands, clad columns and jali screens in a sandstone-toned GFRC.
Pieces are cast at the plant and fixed to the terminal steel, with column cladding and cornice installation now under way on site.

Project stages
1. Analysis
Cornice runs, column casings and jali panels were taken off the architectural set and set out against the terminal steel.
2. Design
Each profile family was modelled in 3D and broken into castable pieces, with fixings to the steel resolved on the model.
3. Development
Molds were made from the models, and pieces are cast, finished and dispatched in installation sequence.
